Sacrament of Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is the foundation of, and the initial step into, the Christian life. It is the first of seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. Along with the Sacrament of Confirmation and Eucharist, it makes up the Sacraments of Christian Initiation. Through Baptism, we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God. We become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. (CCC#1213)

• The Baptism of Infants: age six or younger
• The Baptism of Children: age seven or older
• The Baptism of Adults: age eighteen or better
